You need Mesa(3.0 or better) or the Open GL graphics library before you can build the GUI part of my code. Download it at the Mesa 3-D site:

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=3
For now, I will give links to other Free CFD codes as well some CFD sources.
  1. CFD Online may be the top CFD resource. It has links, jobs, news, books, etc. relating to CFD. Here is a list of links they have to several codes.

  2. I have also written an article for the Wiki part of CFD Online called CFD Simulation of Vortex Shedding which deals with the incompressible part of SLFCFD.

  3. Sourceforge The Premier host of Free Software and Open Source projects. They are also hosting SLFCFD .

  4. Freshmeat - Very current general software archive -

  5. Wikipedia's article for Computational Fluid Dynamics gives a good introduction to CFD and has a big list of commercial and Free codes.

  6. I review some Free codes in my FAQ .

  7. Linux Links - The Linux Portal Site

  8. slackware.com The Linux Portal Site containing an extensive Linux software directory

  9. Online Learning is a site dedicated to making a comprehensive resource for students and professionals in science in engineering. Their collection of material includes Open Source engineering programs .
Some very good GNU/Linux resources are at:
